More News from the World of Neal

Nearly there. Julia sits very well propped up, but sometimes she still topples over.

Rolling over gets easier every time!

This big girl is sitting up in the chair that Grammy and Pop Pop bought her for the shore!

MMMMMM, sweet potatoes!!

My gums hurt Mommy! How about if I chew on this?

Ok, so things have been progressing nicely in our world. Julia's 4-month check up at the end of April showed that she is growing perfectly according to our doctor. She was up to 13.9 lbs and 25 inches. That puts her in the 50% for weight and 75-90% for height. Doctor Mike says..."it doesn't matter what percentile she is, just as long as she stays in it." So far, that is exactly what she has done.

Julia also surprised us with the appearance of her first tooth. It is on the bottom and off to her left. Only the tip has broken through and it seems to be holding steady, not quite ready to come in completely. I've been told that it will most likely stay like that until the front teeth come in. Julia has also progressed into eating solids. Her favorites are bananas and sweet potatoes, but she is also tolerating applesauce, pears and carrots. She HATES peaches!! The face she makes when peaches are in her mouth...priceless. We are getting ready to introduce her to the world of the sippy cup...wish us luck. Also, Julia is rolling over now. She doesn't get caught in the corner of her crib so much, but I have found her on her tummy in morning frustrated that she ran out of room and can't get back over.

My first Mother's Day was a very lovely and special one. Jason took Julia, me, and my mom out to breakfast. How sweet!
